En Primeur At 130 g/l residual, this is an unusually sweet style for this château. It has pronounced spicey, quite roasted and barley-sugar flavours and quite a low alcohol (13°4), whilst the acidity is quite high, all this providing a wholesome quite early-drinking wine that will certainly also not break the bank. Wine Advocate - En Primeur, 91-93 Pts: The Broustet 2009 has a light, well-defined nose with acacia honey and a touch of white peach and apricot. The palate is very well balanced with such bright fruits you need sunglasses. Superb poise from start to finish, citrus lemon, apricot, white peach and a touch of pear. Viscous texture and great persistency. The 2009 must represent one of the finest wines from this estate.

Decanter – En Primeur, 16 Pts: Fruity, precise, not very rich for the vintage, long, intelligent modern style, one of the best I remember from the source.

Wine Spectator - En Primeur, 90-93 Pts: Curd on the nose, with hints of honey. Full-bodied, with lots of dried peach and lemon flavors. Medium sweet, with a lively finish, showing spicy botrytis at the end.

Jancis Robinson - En Primeur 16 Pts: Mid to dark copper. A little sour on the nose. Lemon oil plus sweetness. Quite attractive in an aperitif Sauternes style. Very marked acidity. A deliberate attempt not to go for maximum sweetness? Not that long. Drink 2016-2026.
